Sexuality Traits of the Zodiac Sign Capricorn
Capricorn prefers to plan sexual encounters and then proceed according to plan. A seduction feels like cooperation, foreplay like a warm-up, and intercourse like work. It should take time, and it should have a lasting effect. It usually does. Capricorn is proud of making the most of it.
It may not be that very romantic, unless Capricorn has included that in the plan, which only happens if the partner has made the demand for it very clear. In those cases, Capricorn’s attempts at romance might be somewhat lacking and overly formal, because that’s something Capricorn is not very comfortable with.
Instead, Capricorn excels in the act by commitment and perseverance. It should take time and be memorable, also it should involve a lot of physical activity – somewhat like a thorough workout.
Capricorn is not very experimental. The usual stuff is what’s preferred. But there has to be variation between the ingredients and circumstances. Again, sort of like a workout – the whole body should be trained evenly. And sex should not always be in the bed, but in other furniture at home or even far outside of it.
Capricorn wants to conquer, which means taking the initiatives and pushing forward, as if impatient – but still taking measures to prolong the act. It needs to end with the full satisfaction of both participants. Or all of them, if more than two, and Capricorn wouldn’t mind that terribly. It increases the challenge and the work effort called for, which is what triggers Capricorn the most.
After making love, Capricorn really wants to get up and do something else, but has the discipline to remain and cuddle, if that’s what the partner needs. But to Capricorn, when it’s over it’s over. No lingering.
On the other hand, it doesn’t take long before Capricorn is eager to do it all again, with just as much commitment.
And Capricorn is a good learner, improving from one time to the next when it comes to serving the partner in the most pleasurable way. It’s not done by a fine-tuned sensitivity, but by persistent trial and error. That works, too.
Sexuality and your Zodiac Sign
The most basic component of your horoscope is your star sign, which is the Zodiac sign the sun occupied at the time of your birth. The above text about your sexuality is based on that.
The sun is not really the driving force of a person’s sexuality. You have to check your complete horoscope chart to get the full picture of your sexuality according to astrology. Still, your star sign gives some clues to your sexual habits and preferences.

Who Is Ready to Commit to Capricorn?
Compatibility with other Star Signs depends on much more than similarities. Capricorn, the achiever of the Zodiac, belongs to the element earth, which is that of material things and concrete action. So do Taurus and Virgo, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Capricorn is particularly compatible with them – they need to agree on common goals.
Nor for that matter is Capricorn always incompatible with, say, the air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, although they are quite different. Actually, differences are important in a relationship. If there are few of them, both will be bored with one another.
That’s the most evident when the astrological qualities – cardinal, fixed, and mutable – are compared. Each Zodiac sign has one of those qualities. Capricorn in cardinal, which means leading, even rather bossy. That doesn’t blend well with other cardinal signs in a relationship. They are Aries, Cancer, and Libra. None of them is that compatible with Capricorn, since there will be a rivalry of leadership. Two strong wills often collide.
Capricorn is much more compatible with the mutable signs, which are the followers of the Zodiac. They are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Such a relationship, with one leader and one follower, is at least mostly smooth. But of course, there can be other issues.
With the fixed signs, uneager or slow to change, things can get complicated with Capricorn if the two don’t agree on most things from the start. If not, the two may sooner or later find that they are incompatible. The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
But nothing is written in stone. A relationship is complex. There is no guarantee as to what will work and what will not, especially at length. All the personality traits of each Zodiac sign have to be considered when examining their compatibility in astrology.
Capricorn Compatibility in General
Generally speaking, Capricorn wants a relationship to lead to something – the bigger the better. Family, home, a bunch of children – everything that can be described as success in life. If the partner has less ambitions and even opposes such plans, the relation is doomed.
Capricorn enters a relationship with forceful commitment and makes sure that everything about it is all that can be wished for. Sort of like a project or a business venture. There is love, certainly, but it’s expressed in a concrete way that some might find lacking in romance.
Still, Capricorn knows how to make the effort that gets the partner pleased.

Capricorn Horoscope Traits
The Capricorn star sign begins in December when the winter is at its darkest, but heading towards increasing daylight. Still, the temperature keeps dropping. In the horoscope, Capricorn is the Zodiac sign with traits of the tireless achiever, with the stamina to overcome any obstacle on the way. The Capricorn horoscope sign has mighty ambitions with all aspects of life, and the persistence necessary.
Capricorn Star Sign
Those who have Capricorn as their star sign are born when the sun was in Capricorn, normally December 22 – January 20 (it differs slightly from year to year, because of the leap years). Therefore, it is also – more accurately – called the sun sign.
The sun in your horoscope is your natural self – what you are when you relax, when other planets in your horoscope are not active. It’s your basic drive, a character more or less evident in all you do and all you are.
The sun is the most important point in your horoscope chart, but it’s not the only thing describing your personality. You need to look at all the components of your birth chart, to get a complete astrological description of yourself. But here you find what can be said in general about the Capricorn Horoscope Traits, based only on the sun’s position.
Capricorn Gets Things Done
If your star sign is Capricorn, you are a person with a drive, with the energy to reach results whatever you do. Capricorn wants to drag things to completion. Capricorn has the ability to accomplish concrete results, even when the initial ideas may have seemed vague or even unrealistic. The result might not be all that was imagined in the beginning, but it is there, and it is real.
Capricorn has ambition and the perseverance to realize most of the goals. What you start you want to finish, although that often means a lot of hard work. For Capricorn, the satisfaction is in the completion.
Capricorn’s world view is fundamentally materialistic. What exists is what you can touch and do something with. That’s where Capricorn focuses. The stuff that dreams are made of rarely dazzles Capricorn. Others might find that a bit tedious, but they have to admire the results you’re able to get in the world as you know it.
You don’t mind company in the great projects you want to undertake, but you have to lead them. That’s usually the case, even if it’s not always evident in titles. Whatever the circumstances, Capricorn is usually in charge when something needs to be done.

Three Different Capricorn
A Zodiac sign doesn’t give exactly the same influence all through its 30°. Its first third has something of a cardinal quality, whatever the quality of the sign as a whole is, its second third is slightly more fixed in quality, and the last third is more mutable.
If you were born at the end of December, the sun is in the beginning of Capricorn. That means you’re very ambitious indeed, and you complete whatever you begin, no matter how much of an effort it takes. You can be quite demanding to others, too. Since this part of the sign is the cardinal one and Capricorn’s quality is cardinal, people born with the sun here are the most typical Capricorn, its traits showing strongly and clearly.
If you were born in the beginning of January, the sun is in the middle of Capricorn. Then you have great perseverance. You know that in the long run, anything can be accomplished, so you’re in no hurry – but your goals are set.
If you were born in the middle of January, the sun is at the end of Capricorn. Then you have a tendency to be impatient and take on tasks that may be too much even for you. Occasionally – actually quite regularly – you push yourself too much. You’re also frustrated at times, because you don’t always get the leading role you’re convinced that you deserve.

Capricorn’s Father in the Horoscope
The sun in the horoscope also represents your father (the mother is represented by the moon). That means your Capricorn traits reveal something about the characteristics of your relationship with your father.
If you have the sun in Capricorn, your relation to your father is one of mutually high demands. You expect a lot of each other. There is respect, but also intolerance if the demands are not met. There can also be some rivalry about authority. Your father demands to be obeyed, and it happens that you do the same. When your aims are not the same, there can be a noisy and lasting battle of wills, but when you agree on something to accomplish together, you can be very efficient and cooperate wonderfully to reach results. It is when you do things together that you enjoy each other’s company the most.
Capricorn dates are between December 22 and January 20. If you were born between these dates you have Capricorn as your sun sign, because that is the Zodiac sign where the sun was at your date of birth. But it differs a little from year to year, because of the leap years.
If your date of birth is the 22nd of December or the 20th of January, you have to check if you really fall within the Capricorn dates or not. It never differs more than a day in each direction. The start of the Capricorn dates must be within the dates 21st or 22nd of December, and the end of it almost always on the 20th of January. People born on other dates need not be concerned.

Capricorn Dates: The Leap Year Bump
In astrology, your Capricorn Zodiac sign (also called sun sign or star sign) is decided by the position of the sun at the moment of your birth, as seen from Earth. The sun takes a year to travel through the twelve Zodiac signs, but it’s not exactly a year of 365 days. The time it takes is closer to 365.25 days. That’s why we have leap years.
Every fourth year we add a day to the calendar, the 29th of February, making that year 366 days. Actually, there’s an additional rule, to make it more precise with the actual movement of earth and the sun: The starting year of a new century is not a leap year, unless it’s evenly divisible by 400. So, 1900 was not a leap year, but 2000 was.
The leap years make the dates of each Zodiac sign change slightly. Normally, Capricorn starts on December 22, right after the winter solstice, and ends on January 20, but that’s just the mean. In reality it changes slightly in a four year period from one leap year to the next.
Here are the leap years since the beginning of the 20th century:
Capricorn Dates: Cusp or Not
If you were born on December 21st or 22nd, your sun may be on the very cusp (the starting point) of Capricorn, or right by the end of Sagittarius. If you were born on the 20th of January, your sun might be at the very end of Capricorn or at the cusp of Aquarius.
You need to check with the Zodiac Sign Calculator (see the link below) or your exact horoscope, because on those dates it depends on what time of day you were born – and in what place.
It’s particularly important with this check If you were born far away from Greenwich, England, since that’s the base for the dates given for Capricorn.
Mixed Zodiac Signs
Now, If you were born on December 21st or 22nd at a time when your sun is at the very end of Sagittarius, you probably have a mixture of Sagittarius and Capricorn in your character. It’s a Sagittarius inclined to be more of a Capricorn. If your sun is at the very start (cusp) of Capricorn, though, you’re definitely a Capricorn – and a firm one at that.
If your sun is at the very end of Capricorn, you may show personality traits of both Capricorn and Aquarius, but If you were born at the very start of Aquarius, no matter how early in it, you’re most definitely an Aquarius.
That’s because each sign is the most powerful at its beginning, its cusp.
Decans Make a Difference
The strongest is not equal to the most typical, though. A Zodiac sign is its most typical at the part of it (decan) corresponding to its quality: cardinal, fixed or mutable.
Each Zodiac sign belongs to one of the four elements fire, earth, air, and water. It’s also one of the three qualities. So, four elements and three qualities make twelve possible combinations – the twelve signs of the Zodiac.
Capricorn is the cardinal earth sign. That means its most typical part is the first one – the ten degrees making its first decan, 1°-10° Capricorn. That corresponds approximately to the dates December 22-31. If your birth date is within this range, you’re likely to be a very typical Capricorn.
If you were born in early January, the 1st to 10th, you’re still a Capricorn, but with character traits comparable to those of Taurus (the fixed earth sign). If you were born on January 11-20. you have some tendencies similar to those of Virgo (the mutable earth sign).
Astrology is rather complicated, when dealt with seriously.
But the most important thing to decide is what sign you are. So, If you were born on December 21st-22nd or January 20th, please check with the Zodiac Sign Calculator (see the link below), or get your complete horoscope chart, to be sure of your star sign.
